I was browsing through some recipe books trying to decide what on earth to make from dinner... i could not find something that 'sounded good' and that was easy enough to make (you know those days when you just want to order pizza in and have it delivered) well... i was there. Did not want to make soemthing difficult so I found this recipe and modified it to suit my taste. Peter was excited to try it because he and I LOVE pasta dishes of all sorts- it was a win! He loved it and so did I.
If you like pasta and garlic, your gonna love this one. Try it out! Super delish.
INGREDIENTS:
-1 Box Rigatoni Pasta
-5 Slices of White Bread
-2 Garlic Cloves
-6 Strips Lean Bacon (chopped) (you can also use bacon pieces for added taste)
-14 Oz Can Chopped Tomatoes
-1/2 Cup Butter
-3 Tblsp Olive Oil
-Salt, Pepper, Dried Chillies to taste
Instructions:
-Heat oil in a saucepan and fry bacon, add diced tomatoes
-Cut crusts off bread and in food processor or blender, make breadcrumbs
-Heat butter in frying pan and add crumbs, stir-fry until golden and crisp, add garlic and seasonings. (be careful not to let he breadcrumbs burn- it will be grosse)
-Boil water and cook pasta and drain
-Add ingredients to pasta and mix up good
-Sprinkle garlic breadcrumbs over pasta and serve
