[Have a listen: Selah-Be Thou My Vision]
Verse 8 says, "All the words of my mouth are just, none of them are crooked or perverse."
This is the word, not some fictional story, not some advice from a book... it's God's word! So why is it so hard to follow it? We should be watching what we say. Do not let your words become crooked or perverse.
Do we realize how dangerous our tongues can be?
(James Chapter 3, Verse 5)
Something small can become something huge, very quickly.
"Choose my instruction instead of silver, knowledge rather than choice gold." he then goes on to say, "For wisdom is more precious than rubies and nothing you desire can compare with her." (Verse 10 & 11)
Those verses should help us when we are making decisions. Are we choosing the gold and silver instead of what God's word says?
Are we really seeking God? Trusting God? Or our we relying on a quick prayer, wondering where God is and wondering why we can't hear or feel him? Are we being silent enough?
Reading the bible won't make you find him, quoting and pinning bible verses and christian quotes will not help you find him...
Walking everyday hand in hand with God, living in Grace and opening your heart to all God has for you will help you. Learning new wisdom that will help you with your christian walk. Learning to be bold in Christ.
Truly seek God, open up to him and set aside everything else that stands in the way. For me this week has been such a challenge. We have some huge changes happening in our life and some of the 'what if's' are weighing us down so so much. I am being impatient and selfish and want to know all the jigsaw puzzle pieces NOW... we want everything we want and we want it now. But we cannot get it, know why? Because God loves us more than to let our own desires and lack of power control where our life is going. We do not choose our days, God is in control. He has already written your story (and mine). Nothing that has happened or ever will happen whether it's tomorrow or next week or in 10 years is a surprise to him... God doesn't do surprises. Not in his teachings or our hearts. Let God calm your heart and bring a sense of peace and comfort that is like no other. Just dwell in his love and security.
Verse 33 says, "Listen to my instructions and be wise, do not ignore it."
I love this chapter so much. God is not afraid to make clear to us the way we should be living and I love that. He makes it clear to us because he loves us SO much. Stand firm in what his teachings are, even when it may seem we are the only one doing it. For God's word is more powerful than life itself!
