Welcome to chapter 11! I hope you guys are keeping up and trying to make it a priority to read God's word daily! Make time for it, you cannot afford not to. It doesn't have to be proverbs... but make sure you are reading.
Verse 11 stands out to me, "Be sure of this: the wicked will not go unpunished, but those who are righteous will go free."
Be wise with your decisions, be wise in what you dedicate your time to. Ask yourself is it of God? Or is it to bring yourself praise?
This verse reminds me that God is a God of justice, he will fix everything someday and what shouldn't be today will someday be taken away. It gets so hard to remind myself sometimes and I am constantly fighting with God about the people in my life who arent living their life the way they should, I get caught up in 'judging' more than I should. I am right to not support certain things but I need to learn to love more, love better and love unconditionally. We should have a heart like Jesus. This can be hard sometimes. If i get upset about people like this...how much more frustrating it must be for God. Yes we need to stand up for what is right and stand our ground and voice what is wrong when it is... but it's important to LOVE that person no matter what. Love the sin, not the sinner. Ugh, it is so hard to hear myself say that... This is something I have to work on! In everything we do we should be glorifying God. God deals with the sinners, the evil (the people that hurt us and the sins that sometimes only we seem to see). He see's it all and knows their heart and ours. The job is not ours to handle. We can only encourage and love (not necessarily support). Let's learn to drop it, pray about it, pray for them and move on. God does not want us to hold grudges or build up anger... it pollutes our heart which in the end will pollute our entire lives.
Look closely at the verses here, with every positive choice there is also a negative choice. You have the choice... nothing has been made up for you. Choose the right path everyday... it wont be easy but it will be so beautiful.
Remember, everything you are going through or have been through matters to God and matter in what your future story will look like :)
