Do NOT be freaked out with the name- it's so delicious and caramelly sweet! perfect warmer and filler when served with seasoned rice :)
Ingredients:
-3Ibs Chicken thighs -1/4 Cup Water
-3/4 Cup Brown Sugar (divided)
-1/4 Cup Soy Sauce (divided)
-2 Teaspoons Ginger
-1.4 Cup Tomato Paste
Instructions: (CROCKPOT RECIPE)
-Put 1/4 Cup Brown sugar, 2 Tblsp Soy sauce and ginger into crockpot
-Add chicken and make sure you cover it in as much sauce as you can
-Set crockpot on LOW for 4hours
-After chicken is cooked put chicken on baking tray with tinfoil
-In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 1/2 cup brown sugar, 2 Tblsp soy sauce, water and tomato paste- mix up good!
-It will begin to form into a slightly runny paste, coat/brush sauce all over chicken- feel free to drench those bad boys as it will make them even yummier!
-Then stick them in the oven and broil for around 5mins (keep an eye on them so they do not burn because of the brown sugar)
*leave them longer if you want them crispier*
-If you have remaining sauce, feel free to add it on top and serve over seasoned rice
*it may be a good idea to double the sauce recipe so you have extra sauce for rice*
